shynebychelle is the studio of Michelle Hoang, a sole proprietorship providing nail services in the Arts District, Los Angeles, California. This page explains what information this site collects, how it is used, and who it is shared with. It is written for visitors and clients in California.
Information collected here
Booking. When you book an appointment, the booking provider, Schedulista, collects your name, phone number, and email address through the booking calendar embedded on this site. If you pay a deposit, Schedulista’s payment processor, Stripe, collects your card information to process it. This site never receives or stores your card number; Stripe handles that directly. Michelle receives your name, contact information, and appointment details from Schedulista so she can provide your service.
Site usage. This site uses two analytics tools. Plausible Analytics is a privacy-focused, cookieless tool that Michelle hosts herself; it sets no cookies, stores no identifying IP address, and does not follow you across other websites. Google Analytics 4 uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your device and how you use the site, including approximate location derived from your IPaddress; Google’s privacy practices are described at policies.google.com/privacy, and you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Google Signals and advertising personalization are disabled in this site’s analytics account.
Messages you send. If you reach out by email, text, or social media, the content of that conversation is kept in order to reply to you.
How it is used
To schedule and provide appointments, process deposits, communicate about your booking, and understand overall site traffic. Nothing more.
Who it is shared with
Booking and payment information is shared with Schedulista and Stripe, which process it under their own privacy policies. Your personal information is never sold, and it is never shared with anyone for advertising. This site uses no advertising cookies and no retargeting tools.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not use advertising or retargeting cookies. Google Analytics sets first-party analytics cookies as described above; Plausible sets none. The embedded booking calendar may set cookies necessary for booking to work; those are controlled by Schedulista.
Do Not Track. This site does not currently respond to Do Not Track browser signals. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the browser add-on linked above; Plausible requires no opt-out because it identifies no one.
Your information
To review, correct, or request deletion of information held about you, email shynebychelle@gmail.com. Booking and payment details live with Schedulista and Stripe, so requests that need their action will be coordinated with them.
Children. This site and these services are directed to adults; no information is knowingly collected from children under 13.
Accessibility
This site aims to meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards: every image carries a text description, pages are keyboard-navigable, and the color palette is checked for contrast. If anything here is hard for you to use, email shynebychelle@gmail.com and it will be addressed.
Changes
Material changes to this policy will update the effective date above with a notice on this page.
